The Call

During quiet time on February 8, 2020, the Holy Spirit whispered to my heart “prepare and go.” A phrase that I knew all too well. A phrase that the Lord had used with me on two previous occasions in my life with regard to packing up, with belongings and my precious son in tow, and venturing out in obedience, trust, and faith. Knowing that the God that spoke the direction, would faithfully fulfill His will and His way in our “new beginnings.” 

What I didn’t realize at the time, was that the Lord was going to use these “smaller steps” to move my path into a much larger field of obedience and dependency on Him. God uses seasons of training to prepare us for the work He has for us to do. It was through these seasons of faith and trust that He was preparing my heart, my mind, and my spirit for the season of tilling and sowing that would come to fruition in Iceland. 

And on November 1, 2023, three years after His whisper of “prepare and go,” the Lord led my feet back to the rocky, barren terrain. Where He began to water the planted seed of ministry and evangelism within the foreign land.

The matters of the heart and spirit are great within the Nordic country; spiritually distressed, unknowingly sending out an S.O.S for the hope and rescue of the Savior.
